I
attended my first yoga class in 2003 in an effort to gain control over
irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). To my amazement, by focusing on my
breath, my awareness of my chronic discomfort actually lessened. That
was enough to motivate me to continue.
Since
that first class, I have fallen in love with the practice of yoga and
all that it has to offer. My desire to learn more and deepen my
practice led me to private lessons and workshops. Sharing yoga with
others was a natural evolution of my love for the art and I began
teaching in 2006.
I
received my Yoga Teacher certification through the Tallapoosa Center
for the Inner Arts in Carrollton, GA and am a registered member of Yoga
Alliance. The style of yoga that most influences my personal practice
as well as my teaching is Anusara YogaŽ. I have embarked on my formal training to become a certified Anusara Yoga
Teacher which requires several years of dedicated study.
