Class Descriptions
All Levels
This
class is appropriate for any and all levels of yoga experience and
fitness. It is always changing to meet the needs of both first
time and seasoned yogis.
Flow & Finesse
This class is designed for yogis who desire
a more intense practice designed to cultivate strength, stamina, and
flexibility. It includes invigorating
vinyasa (flowing with the breath), offers the opportunity to practice more
challenging poses, and focuses on improving alignment (finesse). Familiarity with traditional yoga poses is recommended.
Saturday Series - February 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, 2010
This workshop-style series will focus on Hatha
Yoga fundamentals. Hatha yoga, the
physical practice of yoga, includes asana (poses), pranayama (breathing
techniques), and dhyana (meditation).
This series will facilitate optimal alignment within traditional yoga
poses, explore the practices of pranayama and meditation, and introduce yoga
history and philosophy. It will offer a
wonderful introduction for new yogis as well as a great opportunity for
experienced yogis to deepen their practice.
